Newsletters & distribution / TOPIC FIELD NOTE

Newsletter Publish API

A newsletter issue is an edited collection with one coherent purpose. Model it separately from the articles it references and from the service that distributes it.

START WITH INTENTION

A practical starting point

Define the lead story, supporting sections, link order, and next step. Review the entire issue for repetition and inconsistent framing instead of approving each snippet in isolation.

Sharing source material does not make every channel identical. A newsletter is an edited issue, an RSS feed is a machine-readable publication surface, and a social post is a destination-specific adaptation. These routes focus on the editorial relationship between those outputs and the approval or delivery boundaries that must remain visible.

Keep the boundary clear

Attach approval to the final issue preview. Keep web release, feed inclusion, and email sending visible as separate decisions. Updating a web copy cannot replace a message already delivered to an inbox.

Concepts, not a bundled service

This is an editorial guide to Newsletter Publish API. Evaluate the pattern against your actual destination, permissions, and operating requirements. PublishAPI.com does not provide a live connector, endpoint, or account for this topic.

Turn the idea into a reviewable plan

Name the canonical home of a story before adapting it. Decide whether each channel receives full content, a summary, or an original introduction. Inspect its actual reading surface and plan how corrections will be handled. Use the RSS guide for feeds and the Ghost newsletter guide for a coordinated website-and-issue workflow.
